200A Meter Pole Requirements – CenterPoint Energy
- Pressure-treated wood post: 4×6, 6×6, or minimum 4” round post.
- Minimum 4 ft. buried depth.
- Meter center: 4–6 ft. above finished grade.
- Approved meter socket, permanently marked with the service address.
- Weatherhead and service conductors installed according to CenterPoint specifications.
- Properly installed conduit and straps.
- Ground rod and grounding system installed correctly.
- Main disconnect/breaker accessible for inspection.
- Installation must comply with CenterPoint Energy Electric Service Standards.
